Quiet Companions
I'm very proud and happy with how this one turned out. I tried several times to pose the horse and cat in a realistic way. One thing with DAZ and Bryce is that you have to be careful with your Point of View.. some POV's can seriously distort objects and in this case, the horse's neck was looking out of whack until I spent a few days twiddling and tweaking and moving the "camera" to the right distance and angle so that it didn't look distorted.

The next challenge was the lighting. Obviously, there was light coming in the windows, but I wanted detail to be visible from this side too, so the careful addition of supplemental lighting helped out there.

The barn is actually the interior of the one I built and have used before in Winds of Heaven Farm and also Springtime at Winds of Heaven Farm. Taking the "camera" inside to get this view, I realized my proportions were a little off, but I removed an interior wall (the wonders of modern digital art!) which allowed me to get enough distance from the subject.

The image would be nothing though, if not for the wonderful "hay" created and provided by Bob, or meski as he is known. I duplicated the stuff a hundred times and changed the orientation a hundred different ways to get the look of the bedding on the ground and also the hay in the hayrack (which I also built myself)

I was especially pleased when someone at 3D Commune asked if I was going to upload the barn and make it available for other digital artists to use!
