Jay's Registration Tips

Course descriptions and marking schemes are in the Course Selection Guide 2005/2006 - which is not yet up but they say will be "SOON AVAILABLE" at

Hard copy gets mailed out a few weeks before Registration.

Prof Ratings

S -Report – the ratings from the evaluations we fill out at the end of every semester.

Go to Infoweb and log in. On the first screen, choose "Services" "S Report..."

You can get Reviews for specific courses and professors, but you must specify the semester and that you want Common Law. A common mistake is to use the default "fall 2005" which hasn't occurred. It is entirely likely that they will not have "winter 2005" available before summer registration. Last summer, previous semesters would be available on some days and not available on other days.

Another place for prof ratings is RateMyProfessors but these ratings are incredibly non-scientific. They tend to be from people who either loved or hated the prof.

Registration: Not just yet, but in the weeks before registration, you should go to the Registration Navigator (Infoweb - Registration - Registration Navigator) and play around with it. It is a complicated system and you don't want to be figuring it out while you're registering and slowly missing out on every class you want to take.

P.S. Don't be surprised if Registration gets delayed by a day or a week because of technical difficulties.
