Monogram 1/48th Scale Navy Squadron:
These models were originally issued in the mid 1960's

The Squadron consisted of
:
Grumman- Hellcat, Wildcat, TBF Torpedo Bomber, Helldiver
Dauntless - Dive Bomber
ChanceVought  - F4U-4Corsair

Some have been reissued during the mid 1990's. With some minor variations - check the listing to see what differences occurred. I built the originals in 1964( gulp) with pictures to prove it.

Grumman Wildcat - single seater carrier based fighter
Decals changed from WW2 Star to Pre WW\2 Star .
Plastic color  reissued in Gray instead of Navy Blue.
Kit options: Wings fold

Grumman TBF Torpedo bomber -3 man crew
original down to same decals, box art, plastic color -Navy Blue
Kit options: Retracting Gear & tailhook, Working Bomb Bay,Folding Wings, Rotating gun turret

Douglas Dauntless Dive Bomber -  
                    
Repro kit from 1986  with Working Gear, Dive Brakes and
                            Actual Bomb release. Insignia has been changed from original 1960's
                             version. Stars & Bars replace with older Navy Star

Grumman Helldiver Bomber -
                       Original 2nd release  kit from 1974  with Working Gear, Folding Wings 
                        Bomb release. Decals were unusable and were replaced with Revell-
                        Monogram ProModeler version still in production. Plastic was very brittle
                        thus several moving parts were unable to function

Chance Vought Corsair - single seat fighter bomber. This is a 1970 original Mattel Monogram model. Originally released by Monogram in 64 & 67, reissued 1970 after Mattel aquired Monogram.
