Keisuke's filthy rich friend, with the perpetually-present (whew! say that 10 times fast) sunglasses...

He and Keisuke have a neat little friendship thing going. He's rich and Keisuke's a mooch. Perfect! ^_^ He seems to be more the straight man to Keisuke's silliness (at least, I don't recall his going bonkers in the series), and he's the one reading the Sh i Jin Ten Chi Sho when all the nasty things that happen to Miaka are going on. Being the good friend that he is, he spares Keisuke the torture of knowing those things are happening to his baby sister.

I'm thinking that Tetsuya's probably an ancient Chinese major like Keisuke, as well as the same age as his friend (20)...at any rate, he helps Keisuke in their mad search for information on the magical book and in locating any survivors of the Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho phenomenon.

He also has this thing about being heroic. Like, he wants to ride on in and save the day...especially for one Seiryuu no Miko...^_^
