Personality:

Chiriko seems pretty quiet, perhaps because of his shy nature. He's eager enough to help, however, and often comforts Hotohori when he's feeling stressed out by playing soothing tunes on his flute. Nuriko, who would rather do the comforting himself, is none too pleased by this. ^_^

Yes, but what can he do for them?

Chiriko is an extremely useful ally. In his very first appearance he saves the lives of Miaka, Tasuki and Hotohori by killing crazed, blood-thirsty bats with his chi, which he sends into the music he plays on the flute. A little later on, when Miaka, Tasuki, and Chichiri are trapped in Kutou country and unable to use their seishi abilities, he saves them by helping Chichiri break Nakago's magical barrier. And these aren't the only times that he's been of help, either ^_^

All I'll say here is that despite how cool and helpful Chiriko appears to be, beneath those innocent-looking eyes, there is a secret...a deep, dark secret which no one but his closest allies know...
