Star Wars:  Attack of the Clones:   Great Movie!  The critics who didn't like it aren't qualified for their jobs!  (Does anyone actually let critics influence what they see?  If so, then all I can say is "Poor Souls!") The people who found the romance unbelievable?  Give me a break!  (I've seen real life romances move faster!)  It's yet another symptom of the 'dumbing down of America!'  So many people today can't use their brains and imaginations to fill in details here an there.  I like stories that make you do that.  So many of today's movies and stories are ruined by the directors and story writers feeling the need to show everything and leave nothing to the imagination.  Natalie Portman said it best on an Entertainment Tonight interview.  When asked about the critics negative remarks she said something to the effect of "This movie is for the fans."  I wanted to jump for joy (limited apartment space makes that unsafe) when I heard her say that.  I would take it a step further and say that it isn't for the critics!  I actually read one review where the critic (some guy from San Diego, I didn't commit the name to memory for obvious reasons) actually criticized AotC for having a romance that didn't end up in bed!  And these movies where people who just met get in bed are supposed to be realistic?  <head shaking here>  I have news for this critic:  That final scene was a wedding scene!  And since Luke and Leia eventually come from that marriage, I find myself having to ask this.  How do you think they come to be born?!  Do you really have to see a steamy bed scene to figure it out?  Can't you use your imagination and brain just enough to come up with the answer?  Geez!  What's wrong with today's world?  Well, I've spent too much time giving the critics more attention than they deserve.  Great story!  Great Special Effects!  A definite must see!  Good job George, as always!  Can't wait for number 3!!!  Early prediction for title of Episode III:  "Revenge of the Sith".

Probably going to see Bourne Identity or Sum of All Fears this weekend.  More to come...
