Some of the work in progress:
We had trucks dump piles of amendments for the awful clay soil we inherited.
Jay
is digging out a center area where we end up putting the
fountain. And Crystal is planting roses, lots of them.

During the summer, we get to take in plenty of fresh flowers.
What's New
We put a slider bench on the west side of the yard. It's going to take a while for the trees behind it to fill in, but we're not in a great hurry.
This spring we saw lots of flowers, like on our crab apple (above), viburnum (below), and lilly of the valley (below that).
We're also seeing lots of pine cones on our trees, like these on the Black Hills Spruce
We're not just focusing on the back yard. The front yard is filling up too.
