Minnetonka Elementary Science Center The goal of elementary science is to awaken the joy of discovery in each child that results in a scientific literacy for all learners. The science-literate person is one who is aware that science, mathematics and technology are interdependent human enterprises with strengths and limitations. He or she has an understanding of key concepts and principles of science and recognizes diversity and unity in the natural world. Students learn scientific ways of thinking for individual and social purposes.
