Brad Fullmer
Brad Fullmer was acquired by the Blue Jays in Spring
Training 2000. Initially I was upset by
the trade as I knew very little about him and
was upset that David Segui was leaving. But someone told me that
Fullmer would be a great player and they were
right. In his first Season with the Jays, Brad put up great
offensive numbers and had many key hits. In addition to his
impressive stats, he was an exciting player to watch. He always
plays with such intensity, even when he is not
in the lineup he is always one of the hardest working players
on the team. When Buck Martinez was hired as Blue Jays manager he
referred to Brad Fullmer as "The Best DH in the American League."
This is a player to watch out for. Brad Fullmer was traded to the
Angels January 17th 2002. Thanks for always giving 100% during
your two years as a Blue Jay Brad. After an injury plagued
2004 with the Rangers, Fullmer has decided to take a year off from
baseball and is hoping to be back and at 100% again in 2006.
