* The gift shop exterior scenes were filmed in the Liberty Grand courtroom at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto.
* Jaye is 24.
* Several changes were made from the DVD screener sent to critics last fall: 1) The scene with Jaye picking up the quarter and it hitting her on the back of the head was added. (I'm not sure why, since the quarter she picks up later is apparently the EPS guy's.) 2) A new actor plays Jaye's brother. 3) A new actor plays Jaye's black friend. 4) "Until I caught her going down on a bellman" was changed to "Until I caught her with a bellman." 5) A shot of a Frankenstein Burger King was removed. 6) The exterior of the Wonderfalls Gift Emporium was redone (although shots of the old one remain). 7) The scene where Jaye asks her friend if she's crazy was added. 8) Jaye says "please don't respond to that" after "I love you" instead of her whole "I don't feel dirty" speech (this version was used in some ads). 9) The bit about the "surrender to destiny" promotion and cult was added. 10) The bit where the EPS guy comes in and tries to talk to Jaye was added. 11) The music was changed.
* Jaye talks with a wax lion, brass monkey bookend, stuffed bear, and sees the eagle on the American quarter move.
While working another shift, Jaye is approached by a young girl who, after an introduction, tells her that she stole her wallet. As she gives it back to her, Jaye notices that she has a stuttering problem and a stuffed chameleon tells her to "get her words out". This eventually leads to the girl - nicknamed Binky- getting a job at Wonderfalls, with Jaye as her mentor. Unfortunately, Binky starts to take the mentor idea too seriously and seemingly takes Jaye's indentity: Her job, her friends, her family, her looks, and her personality. With the animals still telling her to "get her words out", Jaye decides to take matters into her own hands.
