 Objective:

          On principle I am a firm believer of an old Ethiopian proverb ‘He who learns, teaches’.  My objective is to work with an organization where teaching and learning both are fun and never becomes a boring. My aim is to encourage young minds to develop in both academic and non-academic areas so each student gain a comprehensive education to assist them in every sphere of their life. This will then enable them to progress and achieve to the best of their ability in the future.

Professional Experience:

Ø      At present I am working as assistant teacher, A2, at Sarala Birla Academy, Bangalore, which is an IB world, fully residential public school with teaching affiliation from CIE (Cambridge) and ISC council [21st April onwards].

Ø       I have worked as Government teacher, Grade 4, under Ministry of Education, Republic of Maldives, and was posted at Baa Atoll Education Center, Baa, Eydhafushi, Republic of Maldives for four academic years (from 17 Jan 2005-21april 2008) where I was teaching Chemistry at AS and A2 level, following GCE, Edexcel curriculum.

Ø       I have worked as Head of Department and teacher of both Chemistry and Computer Science at the British International School, Andhra Pradesh, India, which is a residential school following ICSE and ISC curriculum, from June 2003 to January 2005.

Ø       Between August 1997 and may 1999, I worked at The Doon School, Dehradun, as Head of center for information Technology cum teacher, teaching B, A, S and Sc forms.

Ø       Between March 96 and February 97 I have worked with St. Paul's School, Darjeeling for one year as Senior faculty Department of computer Science and applications.

Academic Qualification:

 Ø        I have completed my Masters-degree (M. Sc) with specialization in Physical Chemistry (1994) and at my graduation (1991), B.Sc. (honours) I have chemistry as my major (honours) subject, along with Physics, and Mathematics from North Bengal University.

 Ø        I am fortunate to acquire another Master degree in Computer Science and  Application (MCA) that I have completed from Indira Gandhi national Open University in year 2003 with distinction (68%). Previously I have completed my PGDCA course from Department of computer science, North Bengal University but unfortunately discontinued my further studies (MCA) due to financial reasons to take up a job.

 Ø      I have undergone a one year Certificate course on networking and Internet applications using TCP/IP programming in C/C++/Java from CEP-IIT Kharagpur and again feel fortunate to hold the honour to become a certified trainer of CEP-IIT Kgp (grade 'B', 1999).

Publications:

 I have written 3 textbooks for grade 7, grade 8 and ICSE (combined grade 9 and 10) that are available for downloading free as PDF ebook free from my educational site [www.geocities.com/icsechemistryteachers]. Beside that I serve the teaching and students fraternity through a chain of free-sites that are loaded with worksheets, notes, alternative method of teaching, scheme of work etc.
