Summary - -My father runs the southern utah based construction company "Nate Blake Construction" and I would like to make a website for it.
Content - The website will show Previously built homes, including mission statement and experience and finally contact info.
Competition - Edge homes What content do they use on their site? They have all of their features such as Home buying, Maintenance and building. They have a tab for houses that they have built previously and have a map showing locations. What types of images are used? They show many images of Houses and inside furnished rooms. What color scheme is used? They use orange grey and white. How is the site laid out? The site layout is relative simple with Their logo in the top right and the various tabs after. Scrolling down they have a schedule button and the the company motto. Likes: I really like the color scheme and how user friendly it is with a big “Schedule a visit button right at the beginning.” I also really like the drop down menus from the tabs. Dislikes: I'm not a huge fan of the big orange bar at the top of the screen with the phone number and search button. Ence homes What content do they use on their site? They have multiple tabs at the top listing “Find your home” “Buyer tools” “why ence” and “Contact us” Lower in the page thye have featured homes that have several homes that they have built. What types of images are used? Multiple homes from the outside looking forward. They seem to focus more on the outside than Edg What color scheme is used? They use red white and grey How is the site laid out? They use a very similar tab scheme to ence homes however the tabs are laid out a little differently, the first text on the page is “serving southern utah for over 60 years” and two shortcut buttons that say “quick move in homes” and “Schedule a visit. Likes: I feel like this ones phone number is a lot less in your face but just as noticeable. It is in the top right of the screen highlighted by only a red box. I also am a big fan of this color screen and how the tabs have drop downs as well Dislikes. This website feels a little cluttered compared to others.
Purpose - Hopefully this will bring more business to my fathers business and also make an easy way to access gallery of previously builds.
Desired Results - I would like users to be able to view previously built houses and be able to schedule/ contact my father if intersted.
Target Audience - The website would be targeted towards people looking to buid a home.
