| This is one of my nicest models. I like it so much that I still have it, although it hasn't been flown for years, and may never fly again. A friend built one from a free plan in a magazine. It was all sheet wing and flying it was a bit of a handfull. But it looked nice so I built one too, slightly larger, and with a built up airfoil. Its only a small model with an OS10. It needed a good strong throw otherwise you ended up torque rolling into the ground. Flight performance was adequate. The main problem I had with it was the grey colour and swept wing made it very hard to see. Add to that a fast roll rate, lots of fuselage on top of the wing, and before you know whats happening your upside down heading for the ground. I did this twice and thats why I retired the model. Its only balsa but remarkably strong. It survived a couple of decent crashes so I quit before I ruined it. Only problem is I destroyed the canopy and can't find another that will fit. If you know where I can get one let me know By the way, its a Fury, not a sabre. The Navy versions of the Sabre were called Fury. |

| Hey look what I found out the back of Ardmore. Somebody has made a larger version of my plane! Imagine how much balsa they must have used! See, it has a yellow stripe just like my one. | |||||||
