Design.

Basically, I took what I had learned from my first 3d model, decided it needed to be slightly larger, and drew up a plan with sizing just based on my modelling experience. I would say that this has been one of my more successful designs. There was a couple of minor things I changed as I went along, but basically I got most things right. One thing of interest, initially I didn't have the diagonals in the ailerons and it was very flexy. I knew it was going to help, but I just could not believe the difference after I fitted them. They are amazingly stiff, when you consider the difference is just some bits of balsa.

Flight Report:
I'm very happy with the way this model flies. Knife edge is great. Although, there is only just enough power with this setup. Most of the time there is plenty, and it climbs vertically no problem, but say you are going along knife edge and try to climb into a knife edge loop you're in trouble. It surprising how draggy knife edge flight is. I have moved the battery way back from where I started with it and it still doesn't hover very well. I don't think I want the C.G. back any further so I will just make do with the poor hovering.
