1. David JAY was born in 1750 in Loudon, Virginia, USA.

All data on the family of David Jay was taken from Michael S. Caldwell's study of the Jay family. Most data on the family of his son, Thomas Jay, was taken from William Mason Jay's book, "The Jay Family: 1779 - 1936."

He had the following children:

	2	M	i	John JAY. According to family history, John migrated Westward and was never heard from again.
	3	M	ii	William JAY.
	4	F	iii	Catherine JAY.
				Catherine married Isaac SMITH.
	5	F	iv	Mary JAY.
				Mary married Peter SMITH.
+	6	M	v	David JAY died on 27 Feb 1818.
+	7	M	vi	Thomas JAY was born on 28 Jan 1779. He died on 19 Apr 1866.
	8	F	vii	Margaret JAY died on 7 Nov 1864 in Southampton, Bedford, Pennsylvania, USA.
	9	F	viii	Sarah JAY.
				Sarah married James MURPHY.
