This Week's Poetry
A Little Light in the Darkness.

It took merely a candle to light the way.
Our worlds collided under the cover of darkness.
Forcing us each to acknowledge the others' desires.
The way our fates seemed to be intertwined,
One would think this age of technology had finally fulfilled it's own destiny.
Longing to hold one another,
We reach out across the miles.
Sending each other reeling
With dreams of exstacy,
While trapped within our own existences.

Oh, to be able to transcend space and time,
To appear before you and peer deep into your soul,
While immersing myself within the depths of your eyes.
Would that I could fly, I would pull you into my arms
And soar high above the clouds, so that you might see
My home away from home.
Up there, where the miles between us do not seem to matter,
And time is of no importance.
The mere sound of your voice feeds the fire
Which has been building inside since our fates collided.
And a single candle lit the way.
