| If I Die Tonight... If I die tonight, How long will you mourn? Or will you even acknowledge That your heart is torn? Or will you sit back and chill, Thanking God for my end And praying for your next love, Which He would surely send? If I die tonight, Will you remember me tomorrow? Will you pray for an end To the suffering and sorrow? Or will you forget all about me The moment I am gone, All the while knowing That my love is living on? If I die tonight, While I lie in bed asleep, Or caught up in a scuffle In the middle of the street, Will you ever think about me, The way you used to do? Or, will you sit there calmly, Thankful we were through? Just what would you do, If I were no longer here? Would you sit down hard and cry? Or just stand up and cheer? Please tell me that I'm wrong, Even if I'm really right, For, I like to think you'll mourn me If I die tonight. |
