yesterday's girl
the sun awaken me with its radiant ray
and opened my eyes to a new born day
i tried hard to get up and make a start
and live my today with a healed heart
but everytime i sit down on my bed
yesterday flashes so quick on my head
i remember her when she said goodbye
i remember my heart when it heaved and died
can't live my life today, much more tomorrow
til i find an end to this irrepressible sorrow
given up everything for my yesterday's girl
i now have nothing but a future of a blur
in the past, my mind has find its shelter
to dwell there and remember her forever
while my body is trapped in the present
struggling to stay alive in its daily torment
my proverbial path still lies before me
yet my feet are weary and my eyes fail to see
i look over my shoulder to search for you
wishing you're there to make a promise true
but it was just another hopeless inclination
coz our road has finally reached a conclusion
i now must walk a path of a new design
but you, my yesterday's girl i must leave behind
