You haunt my dreams with your eternal presence,
Your spirit flows into me like a vapour essence.
And in my dreams you are always close by,
And I can gaze into your mysterious eyes.
Our fingers entwine into loosely tied knots,
And I am free to perceive all your thoughts.
My arms fit around you in a perfect hug,
I can hold you close, I can hold you snug.
I can lean against you and feel your heart beat,
And I know at that moment you're mine to keep.
But then I awake to the cold, dark night
Only to find you're not by my side.
I awake to depressing reality
To find it was all just a magical dream.
