| The Requiem of a Soul |
| The Requiem of a Soul By: Jason Farmer -------------------------------- My soul is restless Upon the Earth It burns with envy Of others I see Hate seems to fill it And rage to engulf it Misery incarnate In a pseudo-heaven These are but rantings Of a depressed mind Driven to sadness At a young age I sing of misery I hum of depression Things that no one Can help endure Driven in to the night for The sun hurts tearing eyes I seam to be trapped In a prison of brick and stone Loneliness engulfs A weary mind Hopelessness destroys A thin stretched will I seek others of the night hoping For guidance back to the light Shadows descend upon me Pulling me deeper with in Night comes To take me away The day brings no hope Of ever coming again Driven insane By thoughts within Mind torn apart By actions without Haunted by demons Of my own creation Glimpses of angels That can never save me Rage tares at my heart Emotions failing Misery tarring at my soul Mentality fading away -------------------------------- |
