| Jason Goes To Hell- The Final Friday An Eighteen Interview With Julie Michaels Agent Marcus Interview Conducted By Jason Stewart |
||||||||
| In all action-related films, there are actors and there are the unsung stunt people. Julie Michaels has the wonderful distinction of doing both in her career. In 1993 she became a part of a horror legend when she walked, or rather dove into the high-octane role of FBI Agent Marcus. She has the distinction of being one of the few characters to get the upper hand on mad-man, Jason Voorhees. A stunningly beautiful woman both inside and out, it was an extreme honour that she agreed to answer a number of questions for Eighteen. 1. When did you first take an interest in stunt work; a field that has been > traditionally "male dominated"? Don't underestimate the men. Stuntmen like Loren Janes paved the way for us women. I think they just got tired of the high heels and bra's. Women like Jeannie Epper paved the way for us ladies with her portrayal of "Wonder Woman". Women had been well broken into the stunt world when I came along. > > 2.How did you get chosen for the part of "Agent Marcus" in Jason Goes To > Hell? Kane Hodder gave my name to director Adam Marcus. The rest....is horror history. > > 3. Your work in the "Jason" movie looked quite physical. How was that > experience? GREAT! I love the fact that the director carried me off the set bleeding!!!! No blood....no proof! > > 4. How was it working along side fellow stunt actor, Kane "Jason" Hodder? He so ROCKS. I am his biggest fan. A true professional and is my personal favorite "Jason". > > 5.Of all the film projects you have ever been involved with, do you have a > favorite? "Road House" will always be my favorite. Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliott. What else could a girl need???? Many of the cast and crew I am still friends with! > > 6. Who in films have you stunt doubled for? Okay, if she is buxom...I've probably lent her my body!!! > > 7. What's more difficult: line acting or stunt work? Both have their challenges and rewards. I am blessed to have done both. > > 8. What are your interests besides film work? Gardening, cooking, and charities.... > > 9. Any advice for young people wishing to pursue a career of stunt work? Train, train. train. Knowledge is power and communication is the way.. and a lot of luck! > > 10. Have you even been seriously injured performing a movie stunt? I broke my back doubling Pamela Anderson. Then she promptly fired me. Go figure. I hang myself 1000 feet off of a helicopter for her and that's what I get. It's not all fun and games. > > 11. On your website you give health and beauty tips. What do you feel is the > most important aspect of health and beauty? Happiness. Help others. Give, Give and give some more. When I go to bed at night, and thank God for the opportunity to help. That brings a smile to my face, and it is the most beautiful part of your face!!!!! > > 12. What's next for Julie Michaels? Only God know for sure. I am so open to his next endeavor! Blessings, Julie |
