| Wanting to have a free and convenient way to check weather information on my T-Mobile USA SDA Smartphone (HTC Tornado variant), I found Pocket IE rendering any common weather site inadequate to get the info I wanted to see. I proceeded to find an application that fit the bill, but of course there weren't any that supported WM5 QVGA screens. As a C# developer, I have been eager for some time now to try using the Compact Framework to develop an application. The problem here was that there always seemed to be an adequate solution out there for almost anything I needed, but now I found my opportunity to give mobile device programmiing a go. The result - SDA Weather was born out of many hours of frustrating, but now rewarding, testing and debugging. Now that I am satisfied (for the most part) with my application, I feel it would only be worth all the trouble if other people besides myself used it too. And what better way to distribute an application than to distribute it as freeware? So what are you waiting for? Download it now and make your smartphone that much smarter :O).
