Manhatten, 6 months after the end of the book Spiderman: Wanted Dead or Alive
Electro sits, in his jail cell, night after night, as he thinks about who put him here. He thinks about who could help him get out. He thinks about who could help him get revenge. But no, he doesn't just wan't revenge on Spiderman,the guy who put him in there, he wants revenge on the hero. ALL the heroes. He knows a few other people who hate the hero. And he also knows Tyler Stewart, convicted felon, multi-millionaire, and enemy of Electro. But he thinks if they could just put aside their differences, and unite in the fight against heroes, he'd have all he needs. He'd have, supervillains, money, and revenge. So he breaks out, goes and breaks out the rest of his alleged partners in crime, and hires a witch doctor. What for you ask? To bring back the most ruthless killer that the world has ever known: Stryfe. And while he's at it, he brings back a few other villains. Stryfe is resurected last. as soon as he is brought back to this world, he strangles the vodoo doctor, squeezing life from his body. So now they have the team. So what do they do? Get some money first of course. Stewart may be rich, but most of his money is gone thanks to his jail time. They plan a heist on the biggest bank in new york, with enough loot in it for them all to become multi-billionaires. If the hero interferes? So be it, that's why they have Tusk, and his Tusklings. If not? They make a clean get-a-way. But Madame Web and The Beyonder wont stand for that. These villains are upseting the balance of the universe. The Beyonder has foreseen the destruction of all heroes. The world is a mess. They assemble a group of 10 to prevent the chaos:
Spiderman, the web-slinger, Punisher, the gunman, Deadpool, the ninja, Vision, The Machine, Wolverine, the animal, Human Torch, the living weapon, Daredevil, the man without fear, Hawkeye, the expert archer, Bishop, the future warrior, and Cable, the original version of Stryfe (Stryfe is a clone raised by Apocolypse). The Beyonder hopes they can succeed, because if they can't, the earth as we know it will be destroyed.
