Low budget horror flick
"DISTURBED"

Intro Inside Room

Opening scene of a boy in a messy room. The TV is on showing a cheap slasher movie - scenes of blood and gore. He switches the screen off but leaves the sound on. Turns on lamp and begins rolling a joint meticulously.

Joint rolling finishes. He lights up with the credits rolling (scary music). Picks up a book lying by his bedside. Picks up a torch and crouches under blanket.

Boy begins reading.

Boy's Mind (read out): There was a lot of blood. It ran out of her pores and dripped into his mouth as he lay holding her, fondling her breasts to ooze out the few remaining drops in her body. Sucking, sucking, sucking at the lifeless body as it clung to him...

The credits (song) end.

Torch goes out and the boy comes out from under the blanket. He yawns and turns off the light. Goes to sleep.

Waking Up

Shot of the clock in the night light. Shot of the hour hand reaching 12.....shot of the second hand moving slowly foward till 12 o clock.

The semi-open bathroom door slams shut.

Boy awakens in shock. He is disoriented, quickly puts lamp on (lamp is much dimmer or different color).

Silence. Quick frozen shots of the bathroom door handle, the boy in the middle of his room, etc. He reaches for the remote and puts on another song (scary tune). He calms down and rubs his eyes, picks up the book he was reading and a pack of cigarettes and walks toward bathroom.

Pauses at bathroom door. Increased tension - agitation in song. The boy shoves the door open with a hard motion.

In the Bathroom

He opens the door and enters the bathroom. He opens the bathroom window, pulls down his pants and sits on the pot, lighting up a cigarette.

He tortures an ant with his cigarette and squishes it OR watches it die in a spider web. He starts to read from the book again.

Boys mind (Spoken): He took his knife and slowly pried apart her eyelids, being careful not to cut her eyes out, just yet. He wanted them intact. He wanted to caress those two orbs, squeezing them slowly in his palms till they popped..

There is a piece of rotting meat lying in the bathroom window which the boy doesnt see - he is too engrossed in his fetish.

Boys Mind (spoken): Such pretty little eyes...You could almost feel them. Feel their horror as they watched him tear them out of their sockets...Now there are only gaping holes and bits of gore left, protecting that sweet innocent brain inside...

Shot outside - the player chooses another track by itself. Music blares. OR scene from The Others?

The boy inside the bathroom is startled...he pulls his pants back on and hurriedly looks around him before stepping back into his room nervously.

Inside Room II

The TV is on showing nothing. The boy is deeply afraid and he advances slowly into the room, clutching his book to his chest. He picks up the remote and turns the music off.

A shot of the door handle to his room being turned and then slowly brought back to its original place.

The boy missed the handle turning, but he senses something outside. He is afraid but he picks up his torch and he turns it on. Looks under the bed for his slippers, puts them on and then walks to the door which is locked.

The boy unlocks the door and prepares to step out. His tv has started showing gory scenes of death behind him but he hasnt noticed because it is on mute.

The Kitchen

He steps outside and looks around with the torch. He cannot see anything but there are odd whispering sounds in the silent house. He goes to the kitchen and picks up a kitchen-knife. There is meat lying around on the kitchen counter.

The boy's cat rests near his feet as he holds the knife in his hand.

We see a bizarre shot from the cat's eyes - the boy turns slowly, looks down and mock stabs at the cat which gives a low warning signal. The boy leaves the kitchen being followed with the cats eyes which see him leave through the door.

A moment later, the boy is followed by a second, unknown shadow down the passage way.

The Phone Call

The boy reaches for the phone. Shot moves to phone in hand, from the boys eye view. - begins talking in scared whisper:

"I dont want to...please...please, you dont understand..why dont you ever understand"

The boys own voice replies in a harsh tone:

"Understand what you sick fuck...you thought you could escape so fucking easy? Well im right beside you motherfucker (boy turns) not there you little cunt fuck, infront of you (boy turns) or maybe, just maybe im sitting above you right now..."

A steady, eerie clanging noise starts emanating from the roof above.

Verandah sequence

The Boy follows the sound in horror across the ceiling, clutching his knife and torch before him.

The boy reaches the doorway and the clanging stops...He peers out into the garden and his mouth drops open.

He leans down and picks up a framed photograph of the garden outside, shining his torch down on it. The garden looks neat and clean with lush grass and trees.

He peers out again, his breath deep and stunted.

The boy opens the gate and steps outside.

Outside

Panoramic shots of the garden, dimly lit with two light bulbs.

The boy walks into the center of the garden in amazement. The same garden shown in the picture is in shambles; utterly broken down.

The boy flashes the torch around the garden, lighting up the dark corners one by one. He then fumbles to pull out the book which was tucked into his belt.

Close up of the boy as his eyes roam over the pages till he finds the passage he was looking for.

Boy's Mind (spoken): Many times it had happened, yet he forgot....he forgets often but they always remind him of his nature...the nature of the beast...

In the distance over the boy's shoulder, a shadowy arm reaches down from the small roof outside and moves as if to reach for the boy's throat.

The boy stops reading and looks around with an expression of panic and fear.

Boy: what the fuck is happening....what the fuck is happening to me...

He clutches at his head and slowly crouches toward the ground till he is kneeling.

Silence.

The boy is seen kneeling without moving from various angles...The last shot is of the boy, taken from a small gate at the side of the garden. A hissing/breathing/whispering noise is heard in a steady rhythm, and then it vanishes.

The boy looks up at this sound and peers at the gate and the darkness beyond it.

He walks towards the gate and stands before it, a blank gaze on his face. He opens the gate and enters the dark pathway.

The pathway

The boy shines his flashlight down the path - everything till the corner is clear (silence). He strides up with some confidence to the corner. As he turns the corner, his flashlight dies and he is thrown into pitch darkness. In night-vision, we see him fumble forward, then retreat and crouch beside a tree (the sound of his heart beating plays). As the nightvision approaches him from his un-gaurded side, an arm (female?) slowly extends into vision, clutching a cleaver crookedly in its hand. With every beat of the heart, the camera/arm lurches forward toward the boy - he is oblivious but his heartbeat increases. As the cleaver approaches him, on a lurch the hand opens and extends the object - on the next lurch it drops the cleaver, making a clattering noise. The boy flinches and reaches down, picking up the blade. Almost on auto-pilot he drifts out of the dark with a vacant expression on his face. He walks upto the closed gate, which swings open for him (he is oblivious/unconcerned about that).

The garden once more

The boy climbs up onto the low verandah roof and in a daze walks with the cleaver-arm extended along the side. He sits down, legs dangling off the side and begins to read from his book once more. He gives a couple of side-long glances along the wall, satisfying himself that no-one is there. He reads:

They were after him again. They always came, sometimes in pairs; sometimes alone. Sometimes, they brought others to watch, but they always came. Where can you go? (the boy looks around). Sometimes its easier to just accept the hunger and move on (3 arms slide around the corner of the wall and start gesturing and contorting - simeltaneously, blood starts pouring slowly down the wall he leans against) - perhaps he could stop it. Perhaps the horror was in his head - or was he being manipulated? Who was pulling the strings here? Why was it happening? Why the blood, dear god...

A close-up of the boys scared eyes zooms out and we see all the blood and arms gone - perhaps they were in his imagination.

Indistinct, distant screams start playing in the boy's head and he raises his cleaver, advancing back to the verandah roof. He sees a door; the surprise is visible on his face. He creeps upto the door and enters.

The search

to be written....

End of Nightmare

The boy enters the narrow storage space and flashes the torch along the length of the tunnel. He crouches and moves forward to the end of the tunnel but finds nothing. He is relieved and takes a few cautious breaths of relief.

An arm grabs his shoulders.

The boy screams and screams in horror as he turns and faces a girl who stares up at him. He pushes her down (the torch falls from his hand and casts a light up into his face) and slices her to pieces with the cleaver. Bits of blood and gore splash his face in the light of the torch.

When he is finished and sure that the girl is dead, he leans forward and tastes her blood. As he rolls her blood around on his tongue, a bloody arm snaps up and grabs at his throat.

A scream.

Inside room III

The boy wakes up back in his bed and the clock shows that it hasnt struck 12 yet. He looks around, scared. Puts on the lamp and looks across the room.

He bustles around in shock - picks up his cigarettes, a pen, his torch and the book.

He turns and enters a tiny room connected to his own and looks up at a little alcove set near the ceiling. He climbs up to enter it.

The den of death

At first only the frame of the boy entering the den is visible in the darkness. He closes the door and there is absolute darkness. The torch comes on and moves over the back of the den.

There are numerous bloody bodies piled up along the back wall. The boy's expression turns to one of relief and he slides up to one particular body.

There is the dead body of the girl in his nightmare (his most recent murder). Her eyes are gorged out and blood covers her neck and body.

The boy lights a cigarette, picks up his book and sits down next to the body, draping its arm over his shoulder. He turns on the torch, pulls out a pen and turns to the next page of the book which is blank, and he begins writing into it.

The Boys mind (spoken): It happened again...those dreams..those very bad dreams which he hates...which he loves....they make him...he wants to... to do things he shouldnt do...to do very bad things...

THE END
