Sitting still
In the clutches of Dejavu.
A man with child
(Perhaps you) offers a sweet.

Sorrow floods
Through your veins
As you sit in the grips
Of a fleeting moment.

Memory failing
As we wait in fear
For the meaning
Behind the act of goodwill.
