A Poem for my Love (For you)

Why have you quit dreaming?
and plunged yourself eternally,
into a pit of sordid reality,
from which you emerge,
a true stranger.

Are you afraid of yourself?
and the possibility,
of dashing your hopes,
into the eternal chasm
of never-ending grief?

You do not see,
that by choosing this reality,
and drawing caution around you,
you condemn yourself
to that same void which you fear.

Do not act within fear,
and do not give reality,
a false sense of grandeur,
for it is through dreams
that we make it so.

Listen to the lines,
which speak to you of love,
and heed their call,
for these lines speak far more
than your mind can comprehend.

So choose by your heart,
and let the fearful grip fall loose,
and join me once more my love,
in the telling of a true story,
of breaking the boundary,
of love, overcoming reality.
