GAME PLAY
...then find it! Define the word... Two teams of two competed. In the first round, one player on each team gave clues and the other found the answers. The giver was given a word and the clock started at 15 seconds. They defined the word as quickly as possible and hit the bell. The bell displayed the board on the receivers screen. As soon as they called out the line number, the clock stopped. If they had the right line and answer they won a point for every second left on the clock. After four words for each team, the team in the lead got 20 points.

The givers from last round faced off. Jack read a clue towards a word, and the first to buzz-in with the right line and answer won 20 points. The first to 100 points won the game and chose a player to go to the Solo Game.

$5,000! Right! The chosen player faced a new board. They had 60 seconds to locate 10 answers. Jack read a clue. Once they circled the answer with the telestrator pen and called it out, they got $100. Ten answers are worth $5,000. A second game was played with positions reversed. If the same team won both games, they played the bonus for a total of $10,000. The team with the most money from the bonus game came back the next day.

MY THOUGHTS
The biggest problems people have had with this pilot are its similarities to Pyramid. The word defining and game structure are the same as Pyramid. I thought it was fun, regardless of those common traits. Keeping Chump Change as the theme was a good idea, the set is cool and Jack Clark does a good job.

JAY SAYS...
Cast 2.0
Game 1.5
Bells and Whistles 2.0
Prize 1.5
Tilt 0.5

[ 07.5 ]

One thing that doesnt hold true from Pyramid: (at least for me) the game is unfulfilling. On Pyramid a lot is done in one half of the show. In this pilot, about 14 questions are asked in one half (counting the word descriptions). I feel the second round questions were worth too many points, and made the first round a bit useless.
