Last Man Standing

LAST MAN STANDING

Object: Be the last remaining person and play the bonus for $25,000

ROUND ONE: Two teams of five strangers compete. The team who won the toss goes first. The first player picks one of three subjects and a question is asked to them for $500. If they get it right, that player picks a subject for the next player down the line. They get a question for $1,000, the third for $1,500 and so on. When they miss a question, any member of the opposing team can buzz-in. If theyre right, they take the money and end that team's round. If they're wrong, play continues with the other team. A round ends when a team steals a wrong answer, or when the $2,500 question is asked. After both teams have played a round, round two begins.

ROUND TWO: In round two, the team with the higher score goes first. They play as in round one, but for double the money. At the end of the round, the team with the highest score wins. If there is a tie, a series of rapid-fire questions are asked for $500. Members of any team can buzz-in and answer, but each can only buzz-in once during the tiebreaker. When a team leads the other by $1000, they win. Money is split between team members.

ROUND THREE: Now each player is given $1000. The first person on the team is asked a question in a subject of the second players choice. If they answer right, they keep their $1,000. If they're wrong, the player who selected the subject earns $500 of their money. Then, the second player is asked a question in a subject picked by the third and so on. The player with the highest score when time runs out, or the one who claims all $5,000 goes to the bonus round. If there is a tie, those who are tied are asked one question from the remaining subjects. The first to signal with the correct answer wins money from each of their tied opponents and goes to the bonus. If five are tied, the winner gets $125 from each. If four are tied, $150. If three are tied, $250, and if two are tied $500.

BONUS ROUND: In the bonus, the nine eliminated players are against the sole winner. They are ranked by right answers plus money winnings from lowest to highest on a staircase. The player must pass each of nine steps to win $25,000. Three subjects are on the board and the first eliminated contestant picks one. The clock starts at 90 seconds. If the winner answers the question right, they win $500 and move on. If they get it incorrect, a new category is added and the player on that step picks another subject. If they get past all nine in 90 seconds they win $25,000. If they dont, the players they didnt get to or the one they were stuck at each get $500. The player who made it to the endgame can return on the following show to win more, but must take a randomly selected position in the first round.
