He played a few games with the fans there, when the presenter asked him to read out one of the text messages, he said 3 times the last sentence : "I love you forever (in English). The fans offstage immediately screamed. When asked if he felt awkward saying "I love you" in the public? Jay said, "Very awkward, normally I don't say it because I will not speak english". Some people asked him if he changed his hair style because he changed his love? Of course Jay denied it. He said, "I didn't change my hairstyle for love.. I don't have a girlfriend". He said that he spent his Valentine's Day playing basketball with his friends, because he's been bored these couple of days so he changed his hair style.
February 24th 2003 - Jay appeared at One2Free autograph session.Yesterday Jay appeared at the One2Free "See the real Jay" autograph session. The event was held at a modern mall attracting 3000 people to come and watch. Jay appeared with all new look, a fresh student hair style, wearing a Hawaii T-Shirt and played some games there. Dec 10th 2002 - Jay sells phone and laughs This year Panasonics most interesting mobile GD88 that has video and sound functions, yesterday held an announcement meeting. Their spokesperson, Jay went along. Apart from showing off that cool face he had in the TV commercial, Jay also continuously put into play his cold-faced smile. He made the atmosphere there very warm. To unfold before everyones eyes the characteristic of every phone, Jay played a different role each time in a Panasonic commercial. After magic was performed on the delicate GD55, this time Jay transforms into a computer games player. He competes with the female lead, Li Feng in a fabricated world. Jay said that it was the first time he saw the results of the filming, even though the white jersey he wore was not very comfortable and being hung by wires was very hard. But the result of the filming was indeed very good to watch. Dec 7th 2002 - Jays concert, trying very hard to invite Jacky Cheung to be the star guest Young heavenly king. Jay Chou is trying very hard to invite Jacky Cheung to be the star guest in Hong Kong at The Red Disco. Because Jacky Cheung can be considered as the teacher who introduced him to the road of writing popular music. Its a shame that because of time the Music God has to turn down the young heavenly kings invitation very politely. Jays achievement in the music industry is known to everyone with eyes. No matter in his writing brilliance and the results of his sales have all been given recognition. And he, who started from playing a classical piano at primary school, has always liked Jacky Cheung in the music industry. And because he listened to Jacky Cheungs songs it made him have the thought of writing popular music. So in his heart, the Music God can be considered as the teacher who introduced him to stride forward on the road of popular music. And in Jacky Cheungs album last year, Jay composed a song that is full of Jays style for Jacky Cheung called Tell Fortune. Even the Music God admitted: This song is very hard to sing. He gave Jays composition a high evaluation. And this opened the twos fate of working together. In this month, Jay is going to hold a concert in Hong Kong, viewing this years Taipei concert Jay invited David Tao to sing on the same stage. The result was excellent so the guest star he is going to choose for his concert in Hong Kong has been highly anticipated. According to reports, Jay, who decides the list of star guests has already made up his mind, in his heart the only candidate is Music God Jacky Cheung. He expressed that if he couldnt invite Jacky Cheung that he would not invite any other star guests. That is from the beginning to end you can see the importance of Jacky Cheung to him. Because the young heavenly king opened his mouth, the record company invited Jacky Cheung through BMG of Hong Kong, but Jacky Cheung recently turned down all invitations to be a guest star at concerts. Apart from Jay, he also turned down Eason Chans invitation who sees him as his idol. According to reports, one because he is going to hold a concert in The Red Disco next year in January, two the timing is not suitable. So the Music God decided not to favour anyone, all the recent invitations he hasnt said yes. So if you want to see the image of the new young heavenly king and the Music God who has stepped passed centuries perform on the same stage, you will still have to wait a bit. Interview: jay's true heart (men's uno, august 2002, issue no.37, taiwan edition) Not talkative and a pair of eyes that does not smile. A person with not a lot of words, usually not much expressions on his face, if you don't look at him clearly, it seems like he would run off far away hoping you won't notice him. Zzhou jie lun's silence, it seems, nobody else could understand it except himself. Some people are being criticised for not smiling. he, however, makes people feel that not smiling is just his expression. The styles of clothing worn for this photo shoot are not the style you would normally see him in. Even at functions where suit and tie are required, he would always match it with a pair of sneakers. Because today from head to toe is a full 'battle outfit' (formal wear), it is obvious that he's not feeling comfortable in it, and that he's not used to a bunch of people surrounding him taking photos. And yet he still has a way to amuse himself. In the noisy studio, the publicist's cell phone receiving calls non-stop. makeup, hair and costume editors all busy running around, the photographer's speed of shooting is faster than speaking. After the photo shoot he stood facing the huge window, quietly singing along to songs from 'eight dimensions' as it was played in the studio. The room was still noisy... as it was before. Basketball and music are his life. Suddenly felt that guo yu (mandarin) mainstream music are recently very 'zhou jie lun' style, he thought for a very very long time, and didn't seem to comment on it. He said he enjoys that moment of finish writing a song, when finish recording the demo tape and listening to it over and over again, with great satisfaction. Jie lun has his own style and way of making his music, and he sticks to his unique style. In response to others giving him the title of 'taiwan's craig david', he said he admires craig's work, but would go without that title. He would rather be a single individual than be someone's successor. On the topic of his new album 'the eighth dimension', he was a bit dissatisfied with the fact that the album only had one month to do the recordings. he said it would've been a lot better if there was more time allowed. Likes all types of sports, especially basketball. So when asked what is the thing that he hates most, he immediately answered 'rain', because he couldn't play basketball when it rains. And that there are always a lot of people around. We tried to act smart and said 'because you don't want people to see you'. But he, as always, with not much of an expression, answered 'no, it's because i have to wait', the publicist then gave a 'drop to the floor' expression. Robin williams and jet li, two superstars of completely different images, both of whom he has great admiration for. He recently took reference from a war film soundtrack and produced the poetic intro for 'zui hou de zhan yi' (the final battle). the fierce and thundering intro and ending of the song gives the listener a very 'movie atmosphere'. In the near future he hopes to expand his music career in other asian countries, and also get some more awards. As with all those film contracts coming after him, he shook his head and said, he has no particular plans for movies, but only wanting to continue his dream in the area of music. |
