The PPV Gathering Title RULES

The belt was originally founded (purchased) by Jeff Matthews, and was handed down to Bassel “Mr. B” Noori as a token of Mr. B’s love and respect and tremendous knowledge of the wrestling business. It wasn’t until the self-proclaimed champion was challenged by an up-and-coming superstar, by the name of Jason “JayTay” Taylor at a PPV gathering that the title became up for grabs. What started as a simple friendly bet on who would win certain matches during the PPV, evolved into a feud that currently involves everyone in the WMU community who has demonstrated dedication and respect for the business. As the title’s popularity rises, rules have been formed and rules have been changed. The following is a list of the rules that we hope shall cement the foundation of this prestigious title.

Events:

The title can only be up for grabs at a PPV event. Other events such as RAW, Smackdown!, e.t.c are not events that warrant a title defense.

The title must be defended within 30 days, since there are PPV events every 30 days.

o If there are no gatherings at PPV events, the title will be declared vacant and will be up for grabs at the next PPV gathering.

o It is essential that the champion be present at the gathering to defend his/her title. If the champion is not present, the title will be declared vacant and will be up for grabs at the next PPV gathering.

Eligibility:

In order to be eligible, contenders vying for the belt must have attended or watched at least two (2) events with either Jay Tay or Mr. B.

Only Jay Tay and Mr. B are authorized to make necessary exceptions in terms of eligibility of new contestants.

Contestants who are new and have not met said requirements for eligibility may choose to appeal to Jay Tay and Mr. B for further consideration.

Picks:

A list of the matches of the PPV event will be provided by, either Jay Tay or Mr. B.

o Jay Tay and Mr. B collectively shall decide what matches are worth betting on. Certain cases (i.e. Bikini contests, arm wrestling contests) may or may not be offered as a pick.

o To add a further element of fun, the “Whack-ass pick of the night” category has been added, but shall not be counted as an official pick. See host for details.

Contestants must predict and choose who they think will be labeled the winner of a match.

o Any match resulting in but not limited to a draw, a no contest, a double disqualification, a double count out, or a case where no official winner is recognized will result in a loss for every contestant who picked a winner.

o Although not recommended, contestants may choose to pick a no contest, draw, double DQ, double count out, or a case where no official winner is recognized. However if a winner is declared, this pick will result in a loss for the contestant.

o A winner of a match is more often than not declared by an announcement from Lillian Garcia, Howard Finkel, or any assigned ring announcer.

o In a match where a title is up for grabs, contestants must make picks based on who the winner of the match is, and not based on who the champion is at the end of the match.

Unless otherwise appointed, either Mr. B or Jay Tay will be in charge of recording each contestant’s picks.

o For this reason, the person recording the picks of other contestants must make his/her picks first.

o Each pick will be held as confidential by the recorder until all picks are entered and finalized.

o Contestants will not be permitted to change their picks once they are entered and finalized. If necessary, the contestant may ask the recorder to repeat each pick.

All picks must be entered and finalized before the start of the PPV. This is signified by, either the 8:00 est. time, the logo, and/or the FBI warning. No additional picks or changes will be permitted.

A contestant may make their picks before the warming label and not be in attendance at the start. However, after the 2nd Wrestling match winner bell is sounded, anyone who has made picks and is not in attendace will be automatically eliminated.

Win-Loss Record:

Victory belongs to the contestant who has the most accurate picks.

A non-title holder contestant who wins will receive the championship belt.

o This victory counts toward his/her “## time(s) champion” record, as well as “## of victories.”

A title reign (and winning streak, if applicable) is ended when a champion loses at an event.

Tie breaker:

A tie results when more than one contestant has the same number of accurate picks.

The tie-breaker is determined by the accurate pick of the winner of the most previous match performed.

If both have the same exact picks a share of the title is possible. However, the contestant's may decided on a tie breaker between themselves. To decided if their tie-breaker is fair, Jay, B and the person with the 3rd most PPV's will have a vote. Tie breaker example: if the main event is won by pinfall or tiebreaker. Another tie breaker example: main event win with or without interference. Tie breaker example 3: length of the mainevent match, higher or lower than 25 minutes.

Rules Written by Bassel Noori .

AMENDMENT #1: All final decisions are decided by Jay and B by a vote. Should there be a tie in the votes, 1 to 1, then the person with the highest # of PPV's participated in other than Jay and B will cast the 3rd and deciding vote. As of March 2004, that man is DJ Finch with 12 appearances. If DJ is not present, then the person with the next most participation points will cast that deciding vote. As of now (November 2004) th at person is Emily with 14.

All Rules, Regulations, and Stats are subject to sudden change and no intentional screwjobs will be performed, we think.
