Brenda rolls over and opens one eye to squint at her alarm clock. “Ick, ick, ick!” she mutters as she sits up in bed. It was eight o’clock in the morning and she had a class in an hour. She did not want to go at all. She crashed back into her pillows and smiles. She and Jax had gotten back together only four nights ago but then he had been called away on an emergency business trip and she had not seen him since.

He had promised that they would do something special when he returned which was not for another three days. Brenda groans and rolls out of bed and heads toward the bathroom. She opens the door to see Lois hunched over the toilet, throwing up. Lois looks up and smiles weakly. “Morning sickness?” Brenda says rubbing Lois’s back. “Yes… unfortunately…Ned does not have to deal with this but I sure do!” Lois says shaking her head and standing up, trying to balance herself. “Be careful!” Brenda says grabbing Lois as Lois starts to grow dizzy again.

“Thanks… the dizziness just creeps up on me,” Lois says wiping a bead of sweat from her brow. “Isn’t your wedding dress appointment today?” Brenda asks. “Yes and all I want to do is sleep and watch soap opera’s,” Lois says laughing. “That sounds like so much fun,” Brenda groans pulling a pink towel from the closet. “Class at nine, right?” Lois asks giggling. “Please do not remind me… and no Jax for another three days,” Brenda says throwing her arms up in haste.

“Oh when Ned went to Rome on business a month ago, I thought I was going to die without him!” Lois says smiling dreamily. “Yes, I know… you were miserable,” Brenda responds laughing. “Well, get ready…I will see you later,” Lois says standing up and walking to the door. “Good luck on the dress hunt,” Brenda says turning on the shower. “I am going to need it… bye sweetie!” Lois says walking out. Brenda shakes her head… it was going to be an extremely long day.

Jax taps his pen against the long table he was sitting at. He was in London on business and David Whelen was nowhere to be seen. He and Whelen were trying to merge their distribution companies to pose a monopoly on the industry. This was one of the biggest deals of his life but he really did not care…all he wanted to do was see and touch Brenda. It had been four long days without her and they had just reunited after a short but painful separation due to Chloe Morgan’s deception. Jax shakes his head. Thank goodness that was over. All he wanted now was to see his precious Brenda.

He closes his blue eyes and he face appears in his mind. The way her golden face gleamed in the sun or how it glowed in the moonlight. The way her full lips felt when they pressed against his or how her midnight silkiness of hair felt through his fingers. She was perfection…

“Jax, sorry I am late…I was having my lawyer make up the contracts,” David says in his British accent. “Oh…um, it’s okay,” Jax says with his cheeks flushing in embarrassment. “Ah, I caught you daydreaming,” David says laughing. “Guilty as charged,” Jax says shaking his head and laughing. “Listen, Jax… if you just read over the contracts, and you agree with everything then you can go home tonight,” David says handing the folder into Jax’s hands.

“But I thought you said last night that the contracts would take several days,” Jax says in confusion. “I thought so too but my lawyer worked all night because he had another business deal to pass in Paris… he wanted to finish as soon as possible,” David responds. “Well I would really like to get back to the States…I could read this during lunch and give you an answer by two this afternoon,” Jax says with his heart racing. “I see you would like to get back to that person who I caught you daydreaming about,” David responds with a chuckle.

“Is it that noticeable?” Jax says laughing. “You look like you are in love… it is written across your face,” David says happily.

Brenda runs in from the thunderstorm outside into Ruby’s Bakery, trying to catch her breath. She had been released from English class early and she came by to pick up some croissants for Lois…it was her craving of the week. She looks to the counter and sees a head of ash-blond hair and a leopard skin raincoat. “Oh no,” Brenda groans silently to herself.

“Hello Chloe,” Brenda says crossing her arms. Chloe flips around with her eyes blazing. “Hello Brenda… I better be going,” Chloe says trying to rush past Brenda. Brenda grabs Chloe’s arm and says, “Wait just a second… I have a few things to say to you.” “Brenda, you are back with Jax… let it go, honey,” Chloe says in a syrupy sweet voice.

“Oh Chloe… I have let it go… you are nothing to me and you are nothing to my boyfriend… you have to be the most desperate and obnoxious girl I have ever laid eyes on,” Brenda says smiling smugly. “Is that all you have to say… I have a nail appointment,” Chloe says in boredom. “Just watch out and be careful who you try to hurt in the future…they may not be as forgiving as Jax and I,” Brenda replies and lets go of Chloe. “Goodbye!” Chloe says in a huff and storms out. Brenda laughs…that girl had not even begun to learn her lesson on hurting people.

“Miss Cerullo, ivory or stark white?” the seamstress says going over to the rack. “Oh neither…I want something silvery,” Lois says smiling brightly. “Silver?” the seamstress, says almost choking on her mint. “Yes, why?” Lois responds in confusion. “Well dear, you are marrying Ned Ashton and he is related to the Quartemaine family… silver may not be appropriate,” the woman says smiling. Robin giggles as Lois’s bright blue eyes widen and she places her hands on her hips.

“My Nedly will love me in whatever I wear…and the Quartemaine’s can say all they want… I want silver!” Lois says stomping her foot. Robin whispers, “She is pregnant… she is a bit emotional,” into the woman’s ear. “Miss Cerullo, silver sounds lovely,” the seamstress responds running into the back. “Here is the only silver dress we have but of course we can have one made,” the seamstress says bringing out a silky, silver ballgown.

Lois takes it and runs into the dressing room and quickly strips and pulls the dress on. A small curve was forming on her flat tummy. She giggles in excitement and walks out. “Lois, you look beautiful!” Robin exclaims. “I feel beautiful,” Lois says with her heart pounding. She closes her eyes…. She was marrying the man she loved and having a baby... she imagines her wedding day.

“I cannot wait to marry him!” Lois says dreamily. “Only two more weeks,” Robin says with a smile. “I know!” Lois says hugging her tightly.

Brenda sits on the couch, trying to read Hamlet for English class but it was no use… her mind could not concentrate on anything…she just wanted to see Jax. The other night when he had said that she was his soulmate, she had never felt her heart feel so many emotions at once… she was finally whole with those words that passed his lips because she felt the same way.

She stands up and walks over to the window. Robin was over at the Quartemaine’s for with Jason and Lois was having a special dinner with Ned. The phone rings and Brenda runs over hoping it is Jax. “Hello,” she says holding her breath. “Hi beautiful,” Jax says.

“I was just thinking of you…I miss you,” Brenda says sitting onto the couch. “Ditto,” Jax responds with a chuckle. “I want to see you right now!” Brenda says smiling from ear to ear. “I sent you a gift from London,” Jax says. “What is it? When will it be here? Brenda says in excitement. “Whoa… slow down…I cannot tell you what it is but I can tell you it is sitting right out your door,” Jax responds. “One sec!” Brenda says placing down the phone and running to the door. She runs to the door and swings it open. Jax was standing there, his cell phone in hand, with a dozen, yellow roses in the other hand and smile that melted her heart.

“You are back!” she screams jumping into his arms and kissing his cheek. “I guess you like me as a gift,” Jax says carrying her in. “You are the best present I could have ever gotten… I love you!” she exclaims jumping out of his arms. “I love you too…I could not stand to stay away… plus, the deal was wrapped up much more quickly than I first anticipated,” Jax says handing the roses to Brenda. “Let me put these in water and then I will give you my undivided attention,” Brenda says walking into the kitchen.

Jax slides off his coat and sits on the couch. “I am feeling a sense of déjà vu,” Jax says laughing. “How so?” Brenda yells back from the kitchen. “Well the first time I was in this house, you were making tea or something in the kitchen and I was admiring those very sexy legs that you like to show off so much,” Jax says chuckling loudly. Brenda walks in and smirks and responds, “Oh really? I do remember you flirting with me ridiculously and kissing me that night.” “And Lois and Robin were both out,” Jax says looking around for any sign of Brenda’s friends. “And Robin walked in on us…and if you are wondering, Lois and Robin are out tonight,” Brenda says sitting down next to him and crossing her legs.

“Are you trying to seduce me, Miss Barrett?” Jax says as she loosens his paisley tie. “Maybe…because you know, Lois and Robin are not going to be home for hours,” Brenda says raising her right eyebrow. “Well I think we could think of something to distract ourselves in the wake of their absences,” Jax replies. “I think we could too… wait fifteen minutes and then come up!” Brenda says with her eyes filled with mystery. “That will be quite hard with you looking so drop dead gorgeous,” Jax responds while kissing her neck. “Jax, I am wearing boxers and a sweatshirt… please,” Brenda says pulling away and running upstairs. Jax sighs and looks around…it was going to be the longest fifteen minutes of his life.

“Lois, what is this big thing that you have to tell me?” Ned asks taking a bite of his lasagna. “Nedly, patience is key!” Lois says beaming brightly. “The suspense is killing me sweetie… please tell me,” Ned responds taking her hand and kissing it. “You make my heart melt,” Lois says dreamily. “Same here,” Ned says with his dimples deepening.

Lois takes a deep breath and says, “I got the results of the sex of the baby.” “I did not know you had an appointment…I would have gone with you,” Ned says. “Ned, I was not supposed to come in…there was an opening at the last minute and I tried to call you but you were at that meeting,” Lois says nervously. “Okay…I do not care…just tell me!” Ned says with excitement in his warm brown eyes. “We are having a girl!” Lois says giggling in delight. Ned stands up and goes over and picks Lois up. “I love you and we are going to the best parents to our little girl,” Ned says. He lowers Lois and their lips meet.

“Brenda, are you ready yet?” Jax hollers. “Come and you will see,” Brenda laughs. Jax shakes his head and heads upstairs. All the lights were out but ivory candles were lining the hallway, leading to Brenda’s room. The door was closed and Jax cracks it open. Brenda was nowhere to be seen. Jax widens the door and walks in. He looks around but he could not find Brenda. He suddenly feels two arms encircle around his shoulders and he turns around. Brenda was standing there in a white silk nightie, with her hair up in a loose ponytail and a devilish grin on her face. “Do you like?” she asks. “I like very, very much!” Jax exclaims looking her up and down. “Good,” Brenda responds jumping into his arms. Jax carries her over to the bed and lies her down. Brenda caresses his face softly and Jax kisses her neck.

“I love you so much, Brenda,” Jax mutters into her hair that smelled like almonds and her skin felt like the finest china, smooth and delicate. “I love you too, Jax,” Brenda responds taking off his shirt and undoing his belt. “I missed you so much too,” Brenda says trying to concentrate as Jax was taking off her clothes, to reveal her bare, tanned flesh. Jax places butterfly kisses along her stomach and Brenda runs her fingers through his blond locks. “You are the most beautiful woman I ever seen and ever will,” Jax says tracing his index finger along her jawline. Brenda pulls away and cups his face in her hands and smiles…

Geoffrey, Jax’s butler hears the doorbell ring, and he goes to answer it. “Hi Geoffrey…long time no see!” Jilliane exclaims as she walks by him into the foyer. “Miss Jilliane, you have returned to Port Charles,” Geoffrey responds. “Oh yes, and I am here to stay,” Jilliane giggles with a devilish grin.
