He thought he had going crazy; did he dream last night. “BRRENDA”, he called out again. But this time it was Alexis rushing
into Jax’s bedroom. He was confused as Alexis tried to comfort him. He ran his hands through his hair. Alexis explained that
she used her key to get in and that she was worried about him. She also stated that he looked awful. “Thanks…I guess those
tequila shots got to me. Maybe I should practice more on my drinking skills”, Jax said with a grin. He decides that last night was
all a dream, a wonderful dream, but still a dream. He got out of bed and told Alexis that he was fine. She offers to stay with him
for awhile but he assured him that he didn’t need a babysitter. He walked her to the door and he told her again he was fine. He
also pushed the room service cart out the door. He noticed that all the mint cookies were gone. He didn’t eat any cookies, or
he didn’t remember eating any cookies. “COLD SHOWER!” he said out loud and ran upstairs.
The shower is just what he needed to clear his head. He resolves that last night was a dream and today starts a new chapter in
Jasper Jax life. He decides that he was going to focus of taking over ELQ and the rest would follow in place. It always did. He
also wanted to check in with his parents and explain what happen with Chloe. He dries himself off and puts on a pair of jeans
and a green polo shirt. He looked at his watch and it read 11:00 am. Half the day was wasted in his eyes. He picked up the
phone, his laptop and started downstairs.
He sits down to the table and starts working. His fingers run hungrily over the computer while he barks orders at the person on
the end of the phone. Jax works for about four hours steadily on the ELQ takeover. “BUY IT”, was the last commanded he
shouted before he got up from the table. He rub the back of his neck on walked over the pinball machine and started playing.
He had just hit the jackpot, when he hears her say, “I am thinking this is where I came in? How about you?”
Jax turns around, “Tell me I am not going crazy, Brenda is that you?” Brenda shut the door and walked over to the table setting
down a huge take out bag. Then she walked over to Jax who looked as if he was frozen still. “This is no dream” she said and
kissed him. He took her into his arms and she wrapped her arms around his waist. And he walked over to the couch. She starts
to kiss him and Jax is having a hard time letting her go, he finally broke from the kiss, “How want some answers Brenda”. She
started again nibble his neck. “That is not going to work, Brenda talk to me” Jax said looking into her eyes. Brenda quickly
kissed Jax on the cheeks and bounces up over to the table, “Your lunch is getting cold, let’s eat!” she said. Jax got up and
followed her to the table, he took her hand, and I need some answers. What happen to you” Brenda broke this grip and
walked nervously to the fireplace.
“ Jax, I know this is very confusing and I had all intentions to tell you everything this morning. But I started to think what I was
going to say and there are so many I don’t know and so many things I do know that make no sense. Jerry told me that you
were married and happy and I thought I could walk in tell you I was fine and walked out again. But when you said you weren’t
married, Jax I wanted to feel you again so bad and then…” Brenda said but before she got a chance to finish Jax ask what
does Jerry have to do with this. Before Brenda had a chance to finish the story the doorbell rang. Brenda ran upstairs before
Jax could get to the door. It was the desk clerk; he told Jax that this package just arrival and it was to be deliver to this
address. The clerk walked away before Jax could say anything. Jax shut the door and open the box and as the ball of fur
jumped out of the box Brenda was coming down the stairs. “Simon!” she screeches. The puppy ran toward her. Jax was totally
clueless. “Jerry said he would get you to me. Simon I love you so much!” Brenda said as hugged the dog. “Brenda, tell me what
does Jerry have to do with this” Once again before she got a chance to answer there was a knock at the door. It was Ned and
Alexis. They wanted to see how Jax was doing. As Ned sat down on the couch Simon came running down the steps. Jax saw
Brenda almost fall trying to chance the dog. Simon, jump up on Ned’s lap and relieved himself on Ned. Jax started laughing and
Alexis ask when and where he got the dog. Ned did not think it was funny and told Alexis so. Jax made something up to
explain Simon appearance. He found the dog when he went running this morning. Ned’s and Alexis decide to leave when Jax
explains that he is fine. Jax picks up Simon and say goodbye to his friends. As the door shuts Brenda comes running down the
steps. “I am sorry”, Brenda says trying hard not to laugh and taking the dog out of Jax’s arm, and she then added the Simon did
it every time Jerry got near him. Just when Jax was about to ask Brenda for the rest of the story, there was another knock at
the door. Brenda knew the drill. This time Jax decided that he would not invite the next person in. It was Edward. Jax simply
told Edward he didn’t have time to talk because he had one of his shareholders on the line and shut the door. Once again
Brenda came down the steps. She was laughing. “Don’t say a word” Jax told Brenda and handed her the dog. He picked up
the phone, “ I want the jet ready to take off in twenty minutes. There will be two flying and one dog. I will decide when we get
there”. “The next time you start your story there will be nothing to get in our way,” he said as he put his arm around but as Jax
started to kiss her, Simon started barking. Brenda asks Jax where they were going. He told her someone that it would be
somewhere no one knew them. Brenda went upstairs to get for overnight bag and Jax made a few calls and then they left.
Jax decide to let someone else fly while he sat next to Brenda. He made sure the ground crew and pilots knew that NO ONE is
to know where he was going and who with. Simon was put in a pet carrier and strapped in so he could see Brenda. Brenda on
the other hand sat on the plane, she looked like she was ready to throw up, “Jax, I can’t do this ….I can’t stand this…Jax, I
am so scared…I have to get out of here!” For the first time Jax saw the fear in her eyes. As the plane took off, he spoke softly
to her, telling her to remember Mailbu and how they played on the beach. She was finally calming down. She had her head on
his shoulder and their hands were entangled. Jax noticed her ring; she still had her engagement ring. He had so many questions
for her. He needed so many answers from her, he needed her.
