Mrazek pond however did have a few ducks, American Alligators, as well as some birds. This pond is rather dried up due to the lack of rain. As of now (2/20/2001 ) there is no relief in sight.

Eco Pond is where many species of birds gather. The sights and sounds here are spectacular. When you look over the pond and see so many birds in one location, one just wonders how this is all possible. How can we have so many awesome creatures captured in one small location such as florida.

The change in these mangrove swamps is why this trail is now available. After a hurricane comes through florida, we get alot of salt water mud rushing into the mangrove swamps. This in turn kills some mangrove not tolerant to the salt. Others which are; soon take over.
