| ~ Christina Nominated - 49th Grammys Christina has officially been nominated for two Grammys at this years Grammy Awards. Including "Best Female Pop Performance" for Ain't No Other Man, where she is up against fellow Lady Pink & "Best Pop Vocal Album" in which she is against Justin Timberlake. (With whom she toured with for Stripped.) Christina is also on the list of performers at this years Grammys, along with Justin Timberlake. ~ Christina Talks About Upcoming Tour "It's my most inspired show to date, so I'm really excited", she told MTV News. "[Expect] lots of amazing circus elements and throwback elements to the past and the areas that I am inspired by. It's just an interesting show to watch and to be a part of and to use your imagination". ~ Christina Featured on Now Now 2That's What I Call Music 23 boasted a first week-sale tally of 337,000. Artists featured on this installment of the popular Now series also includes Nelly Furtado, Nickelback and Justin Timberlake. ~ Chaka does Beautiful On Kenny G's newest album entitled "At Last... The Duets Album" Chaka Kahn covers Christina's smash single "Beautiful". ~ No Live in U.K. - No Tour While fans are still eagerly waiting for the release of the DVD "Stripped Live in the U.K.", they now have something to do to dispose of time... That is to return tickets for the 2004 leg of X-tina's Stripped Tour. Christina officially called off the tour on Aprill 29, 2004, when she called in to MTV's TRL. VIVA GLAM lipstick was introduced in 1994, contributing 100% of each sale to the M.A.C. AIDS Fund. This year Christina joins a full line up of spokespeople including Missy Elliot, Boy George, Linda Evangelista and Chloe Sevigny who are helping to promote the fundraiser. For more info.:VIVA GLAM V. How often does it happen that two amazing performer's albums both reach Triple Platinum status at the same time while they are on a co-headling tour together? Whatever the odds - it happened! On August 3rd, 2003 Justin and Christina both recieved Triple Platinum status with their newest albums. They each also debuted at No.2 on the Billboard Charts. ~ Christina was going to save "Miss Independant" Christina's mom recently revealed on the Xposed forum that Christina was going to save the song "Miss Independant" for a later album. "The producer who worked on the song went behind Christina's back and sold it to (Clarkson)". Christina didn't put "Independant" on Stripped because she didn't have room for all the songs she had written, "Independant" being one of them. |
