DARK NIGHTS
Several sleepless nights
have gone by me in a glance.
I barely know the time of day
or just exactly what to say.
The first thought that comes to mind
is the emptiness that lies inside me.
The river that once flowed into the ocean
Seems to forget the reason for its motion.
The river has run thin,
and is calling for the rains above to
fulfill its needs once again.
So, as the slepless nights run together,
the river shall call to the ocean;
waiting for an answer from the rains above.

THE FREEDOM TO BE
Open arms embrace this soul,
Gifts flow with no recompense asked.
Laid bare before me is thy heart,
Naked and trusting to my hands.
Your soul protected only by this love.
No words need pass for love to be known.
A sweet dissertation in a glance,
Whose comprehension lays within a kiss.
Surrender now to my embrace,
Let us melt as one in spiritual harmony,
Finding the freedom to be,
Knowing at last the richness
Of eternitys passions.

MY SHIP CONTINUES TO SAIL
Ive weathered many storms
traveled on the edge
took it to the limit
almost off the ledge
Now Im more mellow
I avoid the rain
I sit in solutude
and eat my daily pain
I cannot take it back
it is recorded for all time
and I am the only one, to hold the memories
that continue to burn
in my mind
I will survive a while longer
some bitterness will prevail
but I have found some happiness
and my ship continues to sail.

THIS PLACE CALLED LOVE
She stands softly caressed
In the soft morning light,
Delicately framed golden hues
Falling upon her bare shoulders,
Turning, her smile greets my heart
The joy in her eyes, alive with love,
Speaks to me in silent words,
The songs of souls here before my very eyes!
Time suspended for a moment,
I cannot help but wonder, can this be?
Lips part calling me near,
Soft and sweet,
Arms beckon to me,
Come and share the warmth
That is this place called love.
Embrace this time,
It shall pass all too soon.
Yet while the embrace may be fleeting,
The beating of these hearts
Whose measure is found within another,
Shall forever be endless.
Whispers placed here,
Nesetle safely in this castle of contentment,
They flower brightly,
Casting shadows away
Passions colors greet the day
In this place called Love.
