SING YOU A SONG
Sing you a song in the garden of life,
  If only you gather a thistle;
Sing you a song as you travel along,
  And if you cant sing, why just whistle!

WORRIES AT EIGHTY
He was eighty years of age that day;
He had lived the allotted span;
He had carried burdens hard to bear;
He was every inch a man;
Twas on his birthday that he said
Of worries great and small:
The things that never happened
Were the biggest of them all.
---------------------
TROUBLES
I wrote down my troubles every day,
And after a few short years,
When I thought of the heartaches passed away,
I read them with smiles, not tears.

OUR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS
When we give to eachother our Christmas presents,
Let us give them in His name.
Let us remember that He has given us
The sun and the moon and the stars,
The earth with its forests and mountains
And oceans and all that lives and moves upon them.
He has given us all green things and everything that blooms
And bears fruit - and all that we quarrel about
And all that we have misused.
And to save us from our own foolishness and from all our sins,
He came down to Earth and gave Himself.

FRIENDSHIP
Friendship needs no symbol,
Or vow to make it whole;
Its just a sacred covenant
Thats locked within the soul;
It knows no creed or station,
Or thought of gain or fame,
For what it does is sacred,
And is done in Friendships name.

THE SALUTATION OF THE DAWN
Listen to the salutation of the dawn.
  Look to this day.
For it is life, the very life of life;
In its brief course lie all the realities
And varieties of your existence;
  This bliss of growth,
  The glory of action,
  The splendor of beauty,
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow but a vision;
But today well-lived makes every yesterday
  A dream of happiness,
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefor, to this day.
Such is the salutation of the dawn.

GIVE ME A FRIEND
Give me a friend and Ill worry along;
My vision may vanish, my dream may go wrong;
My wealth I may lose, or my money may spend;
But Ill worry along, if you give me a friend.

Give me a friend, and my youth may depart
But still Ill be young in the house of my heart,
Yes, Ill go laughing right on to the end
Whatever the years, if you give me a friend.
----------------------
What made us friends in the long ago
When first we met??
Well I think I know;
The best in me and the best in you
Hailed eachother because they knew
That always and always since time began
Our being friends was part of Gods plan.
