WHY DON’T JEWS BELIEVE IN JESUS?

He is the messiah, isn’t he?
Lets find out! Have a bible (any version) nearby as a reference.

If you are a Jew, a Christian who are interested in converting Jews, or anyone curious as to why Jews do not accept Christ, then this book is for you!
(actually, you're looking at a website, but it's a copy of my little book)
To be fair, I am using text from the Christian version of the Bible and nowhere else, so that you, the reader, will be able to understand why some people don’t like the New Testament, and we will explore the possibility that people may have valid reasons to reject the books that describe Christ.

The Jews never rejected jesus as their messiah; he was just never a candidate.

WAS JESUS THE MESSIAH? According to the New testament, Jesus was the son of God, the product of a virgin birth with God as a heavenly father. (Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Luke 1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.) The virgin birth doctrine is essential to the Christian faith. BUT To be the messiah, Jesus must be from the house of David, meaning that he must be descended from King David through a line of males. How could he be related to King David, if his father was God? Was God a descendant of David? Lets take a look at the list, in the book of Matthew, chapter 1.
1:2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
1:3-15 More genealogy names listed; see this link for more details. Have a bible handy to check. (You should always check the entire context when you see single verses being quoted, for many people will try to deceive you using the bible.)
1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Chri$t.
Joseph the husband of Mary? Even on the first page, the Bible admits that Joseph is not the father, and thus, Jesus can not be from the line of David. Now there are many little contradictions in the New Testament that are easily explained away by "bible scholars," but a contradiction of this magnitude, of a topic so central to the belief system, cannot be ignored. Some sects of christianity even say you MUST believe Jesus is the messiah AND the son of God as a requirement to be saved. It is not possible to be both, no matter how much you tamper with history.

DID JESUS EVER SIN?
Christianity claims that Jesus led a sinless life, for only one with no sins may be sacrificed to atone for the sins of people who believed in him.
(1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.)
They also say that the Jewish laws were repealed at the moment Jesus died on the cross. (Matt 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.)
Therefore, if Jesus led a sinless life, and the Jewish laws were in effect during his life, then how could the following verses exist? He repudiated the laws of kosher food (Mark 7:18-19). He profaned the laws of honoring one's parents, and called on his followers to hate their parents; he also dishonored his own mother (Matthew 10:34-36; Matthew 12:46-50; Luke 14:26). He violated the Sabbath by picking grain, and incited his disciples to do the same (Matthew 12:1-8; Mark 2:23-26). If Jesus did not sin, then the Bible is untrue, or at least it's inaccurate. And if that is so, why would somebody believe in it? Also, Jesus couldn’t repeal the laws anyway. Notice a few verses in the Torah it says that these laws last forever:
Exodus 3:15, 12:14, 12:17, 12:24, 14:13, 15:18, 19:9, 21:6, 27:21, 28:43, 29:28, 30:21, 31:17, 32:13
Leviticus 6:18, 6:22, 7:34, 7:36, 10:9, 10:15, 16:29, 16:31, 17:7, 23:14, 23:21, 23:31, 23:41, 24:3, 25:23, 25:30, 25:46
Numbers 10:8, 15:15, 18:8, 18:11, 18:19, 18:23, 19:10, 24:20, 24:24
Deuteronomy 4:40, 5:29, 12:28, 13:16, 15:17, 18:5, 19:9, 23:3 , 23:6 , 28:46, 29:29, 32:40

DID JESUS BREAK TWO COMMANDMENTS?
Commandment 1: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Commandment 2: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: (Exodus 20:3,4) The Christian Bible says: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Matthew 11:27 : "No one knows the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him" These quotes are clearly suggesting that Jesus comes before God, as an intermediary between God and man. Furthermore, since Jesus was a person, he is included as a graven image or likeness, which violates the second commandment against idolatry, for Christians who think that he was God. Frotunately, there are a growing number of Christians who do not believe that God is a man.

IS IT OK TO DRINK BLOOD?
In the following two verses from the Old Testament, God tells the Jews never to drink blood. To drink no manner of blood, including symbolically, and this law is to last forever. Leviticus 7:26 Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings. Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people. Leviticus 3:17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood. But Jesus tells his disciples (who happen to be Jews) to drink his blood. Matthew 26:28 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

SHOULD YOU HATE YOUR FAMILY?
Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

WAS JESUS PROPHESIED IN THE TORAH?
Did you know that Deuteronomy 13 contains a prophecy about Jesus? Whatsoever thing I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. If there arises among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a miracle. And the sign or the miracle comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, Let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them; You shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God tests you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you shall serve him, and hold fast to him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he has spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, to thrust you out of the way which the Lord your God commanded you to walk in. So shall you purge the evil away from the midst of you.

This is for those who don’t know the English names for the books of Torah:
Genesis = Bereshit
Exodus = Shemot
Leviticus = Vayikra
Numbers = Bamidbar
Deuteronomy = Devarim

Deuteronomy 4:39-40 "Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath; there is no other. You shall keep therefore His statutes, and His commandments, which I command you this day, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days upon the land, which the Lord your God gives you, forever."
