Broc is a character I created for the Cartooning and Illustration course I took at the School of Visual Arts in New York during Summer 2002. It was our homework assignment to draw a set of characters and write story for them to be put in to a comic strip format. This was my first attempt at creating a comic strip. The story revolves around a caveman named Broc. He is one of the top hunters in his tribe and the central character.
The time is in the prehistoric ages when man has finally started thinking and creating. It�s the industrial revolution of that period. Fire has been discovered, the wheel has been invented and so has the shoe. Hunting and simply providing food isn�t good enough anymore, people are trying to come with ideas to make their lives better, including Broc. But he is having hard time coming up with good ideas. He tries to create things, with the support of his best friend Cor, and get Mis to like him but always fails. All the inventors seem to annoy him.
