"In a single moment, everything changes."
Both Batman and The Crow were created as a result of tragic murders. Both of them are dark vigilante heroes, and both of them represent black-winged creatures. They are also two of my favorite comic book characters. It only makes sense that there be a crossover between them. I'm surprised there hasn't been one yet, so I decided to create my own, or at least part of it. The difference between them is one has devoted his life to seeking justice and protecting the innocent, while the other is already dead and only seeks revenge. One kills and one doesn't, so there is a clash in morals. The differences between them is what would make the story really interesting.
I created a 4-page prelude to what the story might be. It is basically the origin of the The Crow. There aren't any words but the synopsis is as follows:

James and Jenny Allen have lived in Gotham City all their lives and have seen their neighborhood go from bad to worse. They've been struggling to move away, get a house and start a family. Things have finally started to look better when they get approved for the purchase of a new house and James finds a new job, outside of Gotham City.
They both go out to celebrate. Unfortunately, just as things are getting better, they become even worse. They get stopped by muggers and are brutally killed, in a similar fashion to how Bruce Wayne's parents were killed. A crow takes notice of the murders, but Batman is nowhere in sight.
