Lately my favorite yo has been my modded Duncan wheel.  They are easy to make, and play really well.  If you would like to know how to make them see DC3's web site, he has a great page on mods.

With most of my yoyo's, I use a drop or two of light oil in the bearing.  It makes them nice and responsive, without slowing it down.
