SWEET SWEET FANTASY?!... Mariah Carey returns to the chart this week with her new single "Heartbreaker", and no, it's not a "Fantasy" remix you've been hearing on the radio lately, he he, it's actually a new track from her forthcoming album, "Rainbow". Mariah has had a solid chart carreer here including three no. 1 hits, "Honey" (1 week), "Breakdown" (1 week) and "My All" (2 weeks), plus other five top 10 hits- "Butterfly", "The Roof", "Sweetheart", "When You Believe" and most recently, "I Still Believe". Mariah should have no trouble extending her consecutive top 10 hit streak from eight to nine.
GREATEST GAINERS... This week's greatest gainer is "(You Drive Me) Crazy" by Britney Spears. As we say goodbye to "...Baby One More Time", after an incredible 39 weeks I must say, her third single makes a huge jump into the top 20 causing "Sometimes" to drop quite a bit. There's a limit to the amount of Britney I can tolerate, you know!. Still, she deserves props for such a cool new video that definately reminds me of Janet Jackson's earlier work. The dancing, the energy, the cool choreography and even some of her gestures and movements... oh well, maybe I'm being paranoid with this.
