Chart Commentary
New #1... "I Need A Girl (Part One)", featuring Usher & Loon, makes it to #1 this week giving P. Diddy his first chart-topper since "I'll Be Missing You". This is a great chart improvement for the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy since his last appearance in the top 10 had been with "Satisfy You", featuring R. Kelly, back in early 2000.
It's very hot in here indeed... This week's greatest gainer is Nelly, who soars to #3 this week with "Hot In Herre" and should challenge P. Diddy for the top spot as early as next week. The first single from "Nellyville" had failed to make a big impact on the chart until a few weeks ago and is now on its way to the top. Other strong gainers include Eminem's "Without Me" and Paulina Rubio's "Don't Say Goodbye". Paulina's album "Border Girl" is due June 18th... I've heard the CD already and it's great. I highly recommend it to everyone!.
Debuts... New entries this week by John Mayer with "No Such Thing" at #35 and Ashanti with "Happy" at #36.
