Chart Commentary
Underneath Fat Joe & Ashanti... Shakira inches her way up to #3 with "Underneath Your Clothes", while Fat Joe & Ashanti's "What's Luv?" keep Michelle Branch at bay with "All You Wanted". No Doubt scores a second top 5 hit this year with "Hella Good", while Jennifer Lopez reaches the top 10 once again with the Trackmasters remix of "I'm Gonna Be Alright". Overall, everything looks pretty calm in Top 10 land.
Diddy's revenge... This week P. Diddy's "I Need A Girl (Part One)" earns the week's greatest gainer honor. The track climbs from #18 to #11 and should give the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy his first top 10 hit (as the main artist) in quite a while. The last time J.Lo's ex appeared in the top 10 was with "Satisfy Me", featuring R. Kelly, back in January 2000.
The man in black... Will Smith is back in a big way with "Black Suits Comin' (Nod Ya Head)" at #25, which is the lead single from the "Men In Black 2" soundtrack and also serves as the first single from Will's third album, "Born To Reign". Further down the chart, Enrique Iglesias debuts at #34 with "Don't Turn Off The Lights", the third single from "Escape", and newcommer Avril Lavigne lands at #36 with "Complicated".
