Chart Commentary
Top 5 action... With no new entries in the top 5 portion of the chart, Creed's "My Sacrifice" switches spots with Shakira's "Whenever, Wherever" and will challenge Ja Rule and P!nk for the top spot in the coming weeks. Over at Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, Creed's latest album, "Weathered", holds at #1 for a seventh consecutive week.
Greatest gainer... This week's greatest gainer is Jennifer Lopez with the "Ain't It Funny (Remix)" featuring Ja Rule. The track lands at #27 in its second week on the chart. The original version of this song is available on last year's "J.Lo", but the remix, which is the version currently getting the most radio play, will be released on a remix album due the 5th of February.
New entries... This week there are two new titles in the top 40. The highest entry belongs to Ms. Britney Spears, whose "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" begins its chart life at #31. The track is the second single from her latest disc "Britney", as well as the theme song for her first movie "Crossroads". Michelle Branch also returns with her seccond effort titled "All You Wanted", which debuts at #33.
