Angela drove home with Robin. No one talked; Angela hated silence, but Robin didn't mind it.
"So why did you kiss that strange boy?" Angela asked, trying to stop the silence.
"For reasons, it's not like I like him Angela, I have a boyfriend." She replied protectively.
"Is that so Robin? Just remember my reputation. No geeks aloud, right Robin?"
"Yes I know Angela, I won't, I promise" She said slowly and unclearly.
The rest of the drive was filled with silence. There was little to nothing to discuss with her sister.
"Hello Dearies! Supper is almost ready!" said their mom Melissa with a wide smile.
"Alright mom, I'm going upstairs first though" said Angela, and Robin followed.
"Alright!" said Melissa. Melissa was a cheery mom who was never sad, nor angry. That is why so many children loved her.
Robin went to her room; she sat down at her chair and looked into mirror.
"I'm doing this for my sister" she said and tried to put a smile on her face.
She rubbed off the overdose of foundation and blush, took off the fake eyelashes, whipped up the sticky lip gloss, removed all the chunky mascara, and whipped off the many coats of gold eye shadow.
"That's much better" she smiled satisfied.
"Supper!" her mom yelled.
Robin walked down the stairs, it seemed she missed the first call for supper and everyone was looking at her. Robin was not too hungry but she ate the turkey her mom prepared for her.
"So Robin how was school?" her dad George asked.
"Mediocre, there is a new boy named Richard that came to our school."
"Oh, where is he from?"
"Vancouver"
"Oh thats in Canada! What I beautiful place it is! We should take you two there sometime!" Melissa smiled.
"Maybe mom..." Robin smiled and continued to gulp down her supper.
"And how was work Angela?" asked George.
"Well, Robin kissed some boy" Angela snickered.
"Don't you have a boyfriend Robin?" George looked at her with those curious yet disappointed eyes.
"Yah, I just did because otherwise he would have been trashed" Robin said looking down at her plate.
"Now deary, its okay to like someone else when you still have a boyfriend. But you don't need to be doing any romantic interactions with that someone." Melissa said.
"MOTHER! I DON'T LIKE HIM; HE WOULD HAVE BEEN TRASHED THAT'S WHY I DID IT! WHY DONT YOU BELIEVE ME" Robin shouted at her and walked to her room.
In her mind she kept contemplating her conversation at the dinner table. She didn't like Richard, there was nothing special about him, and he was being mean to her.
"I don't have time to think about Richard, or anybody else at this moment. I have way too many assignments due for tomorrow." she said to herself.
Until Robin went to bed she did her homework, and nothing but her homework. Robin was very good at blocking things out of her mind; especially when she needed to do school work.
