Ever since I purchased my first new Honda Civic in 1990, I fell in love with the sleek curves of my Honda civic and the simple engineering which allows for easy maintenance of the vehicle. My first Honda was a DX model with a 1.5 liter engine. Although not very quick, it was by far the most economical car I have driven until that point. The amount of money I saved in gas and maintenance/repairs was incredible.
I loved that 4th generation Honda so much that I purchased a used 1991 Honda Civic Si a few years later. I still have it to this day it drives as strong as from factory. In 1999, I purchased a 6th generation EX coupe and have enjoyed it for four wonderful repair-free years. I hope Honda maintains its simplistic, economical designs for years to come.
What I would love to see come out of the Honda Civic line is a 2-door hatch AWD (All Wheel Drive) Si model with a strong DOHC (Dual Over Head Cam) and Disc brakes all around. If such a mini-monster were produced by Honda I most certainly would be one of the first waiting in line.
