HONDA CIVICS FUTURE GENERATIONS

Honda is currently further developing their hybrid technology. I can see all-wheel drive hybrid passenger vehicles in the near future that will have incredible acceleration. Very comparable to that of a remote controlled car. Honda will no doubt release a production vehicle that will take the word performance to a completely new level.

Honda is also developing a revolutionary fuel cell technology. Fuel cells create electricity through an electrochemical process that combines hydrogen and oxygen. This process works like this:

1. Hydrogen fuel is fed into the anode of the fuel cell. Helped by a catalyst, hydrogen atoms are split into electrons and protons.
2. Electrons are channeled through a circuit to produce electricity.
3. Protons pass through the polymer electrolyte membrane.
4. Oxygen (from the air) enters the cathode and combines with the electrons and protons to form water.
5. Water vapor and heat are released as byproducts of this reaction.

The future looks with this technology. This new form of engine will allow limitless possibilities for mankind. Performance considerations have yet to be seen, but if enough electricity is produced, hi-performance can be right around the corner.
