Jatropheus' Poetic Pages

Another Sunset

On occasion the sorrows arise
And tears well up to glaze dark eyes
Streaks that stain my weathered face
Bitter memories I cant erase
Questions without sweet soothing replies
Asked betwixt pained, muffled cries
In scintillating, icy grace
Lethargic dreams of loves embrace

Euphoria bartered with all of this
Never to realize my loneliness
The emotions I had in my yesterday
Were vivid colors, now faded gray
Yet still I lust to touch lingering bliss
Wishing for a forbidden kiss
No concentration my thoughts astray
And my heart wont stay locked away
