Fire Engines
From 1991 to 1993, my dad worked in Foster City, CA, which borders on the city of San Mateo. San Mateo Fire Department was then replacing its aging fleet of Crown pumpers and aerials with shiny new Seagrave fire apparatus. Never one to travel anywhere without a camera, dad caught San Mateo's new Truck 21, a 100-foot tillered Seagrave aerial, extinguishing a few embers in a minor roof fire at Fashion Island shopping mall.
