My dad first met my mom and me in July, 1996. Since Ed is a fire engine buff, and his dad and his grandma were, too, it was inevitable that I would be taken to my first SPAAMFAA National convention (at San Bernardino, CA) that first year, in February, 1997. San Bernardino had only just received this 100-foot tractor-trailer aerial ladder truck from Seagrave. Dad photographed the front end, I photographed the back end with a camera that Ed let me use all day, and we spliced the two photos together to show the whole LONG vehicle!
